Greetings to all youse Fando'ade out there. Just saying hello, and asking a question. Where do you get your names for your OCs? This is Star Wars, guys. Name 'em however you want to, but it seems to me that some of yez are pretty much just looking through Ms. Traviss's Big Book 'o Mando'a and picking out a choice word. Think about it. Would some kid want to be named "Death Johnson"? "Honorable Education Matthews"? "Ghost Gauntlet Smith"? Would you? All I'm asking is for a little originality in naming your Mando'ade. "Ky'ram Ordo" seems a bit trite, don't you think?

I dunno about Star Wars, but my three primary methods of naming are A) Baby name sites B) Name generators from places like Seventh Sanctum and C) alteration an existing name/word/etc that I find of interest.

Instead of "Death Johnson," it's Deetja Johnson. (Might still sound stupid, but at least you get points for trying.)

Although, to answer your question, I can think of a LOT of kids who would want to be named "Death Johnson."

Yeah, I meant "Death Johnson" as a rough translation of some of the common naming trends... And you gotta at least ponder for a minute Grayson Carlyle's feelings toward daddy-dearest for giving him the middle name "Death"...

Probably loved it. I mean, for a late teens/early twenty-something guy, what's better than walking into a room and introducing yourself as "Grayson DEATH! Carlyle"?
